Animals Killed in Dallas due to Shopping center fire!!

Wildfires in Dallas Shopping Centre killed more than 500 animals most of them were small birds.




The fire incident took place on January 4, 2025, Friday morning in the shopping center killing more than 500 animals mostly which were small birds according to authorities!!

As per Dallas Fire Rescue spokesperson Jason Evans, there were 579 animals in the pet shop at Plaza Latina in Northwest Dallas that died from smoke inhalation.

Mr.Evans said that flames from the fire never reached the animals. Chickens, Hamsters, two dogs, and two cats also died in this event. The two-alarm fire took about two hours and as many as 45 fighters extinguished the fire around 11 a.m. 





During the rescue and search Mission by DFR personnel, all animals in the shop unfortunately died due to smoke inhalation, by Mr. Evans.

No one was injured in the fire event, the structure of a large one-story Shopping Centre was severely damaged including a partially collapsed roof.


The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation, the cause of the fire was not immediately said by Mr. Evans.
